Killswitch Engage’s new album, “Atonement,” will feature guest appearances from Testament vocalist Chuck Billy and former Killswitch singer Howard Jones
Killswitch Engage has officially unveiled their new album details. The Massachusetts metal band will release their eighth studio album, “Atonement,” on Aug. 16. The album will mark the band’s follow-up to 2016’s “Incarnate.”
In addition to the new album news, Killswitch Engage has released the album’s debut single, “Unleashed.” The song is available via digital outlets and can be streamed below.
“‘Unleashed’ is about inner passion and rage coming up to the surface,” frontman Jesse Leach said in a statement. “We all have that wild within that often stays dormant until a tragic event triggers and awakens it. This song is about that awakening within.”
“I feel we were able to capture something raw and intense on this song and I’m stoked for everyone to hear it!” he added. “The new album Atonement is a reflection of perseverance and passion through the trials and suffering of our existence.”
“Atonement” will feature 11 new songs, including guest appearances from former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones and Testament singer Chuck Billy, who perform on the songs “The Signal Fire” and “The Crownless King,” respectively.
