Tool finally has a name for the band’s new album, “Fear Inoculum”
Tool fans have been waiting for more than a decade for a new album, and now, the band has officially unveiled the title of the new set of tunes.
Tool — which features frontman Maynard James Keenan, drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones and bass player Justin Chancellor — will release their new album, “Fear Inoculum,” on Aug. 30. The record will mark the band’s long-awaited follow-up to 2006’s “10,000 Days.”
Tool mysteriously reveled the fifth album’s name via Instagram, and the band’s camp has confirmed that “Fear Inoculum,” indeed, is the title of the upcoming album. The record will feature the recently released songs “Descending” and “Invincible,” both of which Tool has been performing live on the road.
In other news, Tool has also revealed that their full catalog of music will be available via digital outlets and streaming services beginning Friday (Aug. 2). Tool also recently surpassed the $150 million mark in career concert grosses, according to Billboard’s Hot Tours chart, for their lengthy history on the road. The band is scheduled to perform at Aftershock Festival on Oct. 13 in Sacramento, California, and is expected to announce additional tour dates in support of “Fear Inoculum.”
