Tool headlined Sacramento’s Aftershock festival last weekend, and the performance was the band’s first concert since they released their much-anticipated new album, “Fear Inoculum.” At the show, the band performed a few tracks live for the first time, bringing “Fear Inoculum” to life in way fans haven’t experienced it before.
To kick off the set, Tool played the title track off “Fear Inoculum,” which is also the album’s first single. As for other songs off the album, Maynard James Keenan and company also performed the 12-minute song “Pneuma” for the first time live. This year’s Aftershock festival also brought headlining performances of Slipknot, Korn, Blink-182, Rob Zombie and more.
Tool was on the road earlier this year, and at those shows, they performed the “Fear Inoculum” tracks “Descending” and “Invincible” live. Next up, Tool will set off on a North American headlining tour, which kicked off last night (Oct. 15) in Denver, Colorado. The guys will remain on the road through a Nov. 25 date in Washington, D.C.
