Corey Taylor of Stone Sour and Slipknot wants to get into the film-making business

Corey Taylor already releases chart-topping music in Stone Sour and Slipknot, plus has written a few best-selling books. Now, Taylor wants to get involved with the big screen.

In a new interview, Taylor tells Rolling Stone that he’s “working on a movie right now.”

“I finished a script and I’m aggressively looking for investors and producers,” he explained.

That’s not all. On top of working on a script and trying to put together a film, Taylor also want to write another book and record his much-buzzed about his debut solo album.

“I have a bunch of songs; about 26 songs written now,” Taylor said. “I’ve got a band put together with friends of mine; people who have been a part of my solo gigs for the past 10 years.”

“We’re just walking through arrangements of stuff right now so once the time comes we can just run right in the studio and record a bunch of music and get it out there,” he added.

For now, Taylor is still keeping busy with Slipknot. The band released their latest record, “We Are Not Your Kind,” in August, and they’ve been on tour for much of the year in support of the release. Next year, Taylor will continue to tour with Slipknot, as well as work on that debut solo album.
