Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode and Doobie Brothers Among 2020 Rock Hall Inductees
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2020 will consist of Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, T. Rex, The Notorious B.I.G. and Whitney Houston
Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, T. Rex, The Notorious B.I.G. and Whitney Houston comprise the official 2020 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
For the Doobie Brothers, T. Rex, Biggie and Houston, the honor is coming their first time being nominated. For Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode, third time is the charm, as both previously been nominated twice.
The other artists nominated for the 2020 Rock Hall class were Dave Matthews Band, Soundgarden, Judas Priest, Pat Benatar, MC5, Motörhead, Thin Lizzy, Todd Rundgren, Kraftwerk and Rufus featuring Chaka Khan. The Dave Matthews Band scored the most votes in the Rock Hall’s fan poll with 1,005,657 votes, followed Pat Benatar with 882,207 votes, the Doobie Brothers with 784,729 votes, Soundgarden with 722,931 and Judas Priest with 675,434.
The 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Saturday, May 2, at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland. The show will air live for the first time in its history beginning at 8 p.m. ET on HBO.
