Megadeth, Lamb of God, Trivium and In Flames Announce Tour
Megadeth and Lamb of God will hit 55 North American cities on their 2020 tour, and the trek also features Trivium and In Flames
Megadeth and Lamb of God have announced a major co-headlining North American tour this year, taking the metal men through 55 cities. Trivium and In Flames will open.
The trek features two legs, the first of which will set off June 12 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, and running through an Aug. 1 date at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California. The second leg will kick off Oct. 2 at iTHINK Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida, and run through a Nov. 13 show at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada.
Tickets for the tour, which is presented by SiriusXM, will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. local time on Friday (Feb. 14) via LiveNation. Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase pre-sale tickets and VIP packages beginning at 10 a.m. local time Tuesday (Feb. 11) through 10 a.m. local time Thursday (Feb. 13).
The upcoming dates are Megadeth’s first North American tour dates since 2017 and the band’s first since frontman Dave Mustaine’s throat cancer diagnosis and recovery. Mustaine has gone through extensive treatment and now says his doctors state he is “100 percent” cancer-free.
Megadeth is expected to release the metal band’s 16th studio album later this year, and Mustaine is also working on a new book about the band’s landmark “Rust in Peace” album. The book, called “Building the Perfect Beast” and co-written with Joel Selvin, will hit stores on Sept. 8.
Lamb of God is prepping a new, self-titled album, which will hit stores May 8.
