Evanescence and Within Temptation were set to embark on a co-headlining tour of Europe in April, but that run will now take place in the fall

Not that it’s a big surprise, but Evanescence has postponed the group’s upcoming European co-headlining tour with Within Temptation due to concerts over COVID-19 coronavirus.

The tour, which was scheduled to begin in April, will now take place in the fall. They expect to have specific dates for the rescheduled tour soon.

“We are disappointed to make you wait, but fully agree that your health, safety and lives are more important than a concert,” frontwoman Amy Lee and company said in a statement.

While there may not be any Evanescence shows happening right now, the band is working on new music. The band says to expect a bit of new music “very soon.”

“(We) are going to turn our full focus toward that (until) the show can go on,” they stated. “Stay tuned for new dates and new music.”

They added, “We appreciate your understanding and patience while we all work through this.”

Evanescence’s tour postponement is the latest in a major round of bands canceling their spring tours due to COVID-19 coronavirus. On Friday (March 13), concert promoters Live Nation and AEG announced they would suspend all tours for the month of March, including runs from Kiss, Billie Eilish, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, Cher, Post Malone, Tool, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shania Twain’s Las Vegas residency and more.
