Corey Taylor Reveals Solo Album Details for ‘CMFT’
Corey Taylor has announced details about his new solo album, “CMFT,” and released two new songs off the set
After several months of teasing, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has finally revealed the details of his debut solo album.
The new album, which he’s been talking about for years, is called “CMFT” and will hit stores on Oct. 2. It features a dozen new songs, and two of them, “Black Eyes Blue” and “CMFT Must Be Stopped,” have just been released.
Taylor’s solo music is quite different from his work in Slipknot and Stone Sour. “Black Eyes Blue” shows off a soft, heartfelt melodic rock song, while “CMFT Must Be Stopped” has a true hip-hop vibe with guest appearances from Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie.
Taylor has also released the official music video for “CMFT Must Be Stopped,” and it features a bevy of famous musicians from the rock and metal world, including Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Marilyn Manson, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, Sevendust’s Lajon Witherspoon, Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, Fozzy’s Chris Jericho and Anthrax’s Scott Ian.
