After some teasing, Tommy Lee has unveiled his remix of “Tommy Lee.” The Motley Crue drummer first joined forces with Tyla Yaweh and Post Malone back in June to release the original version of the song. Even though Lee is known for his drumming skills, he didn’t play drums on the original song.
Now, Lee has released their special remix of the song with gives a different feel to the original version. “Tommy Lee,” the remix, features a huge guitar riff and Lee’s own drumming. The song is available now via all the usual digital stores. Listen to the song and watch the accompanying music video below.
“I was humbled that Tyla and Post chose to name a song after me,” Lee says. “I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it with them and give it my spin. We had a blast! They are the new rockstars! I love them both!”
“Tommy Lee” will appear on Lee’s upcoming solo album, “Andro,” which will arrive on Oct. 16. Lee, of course, was slated to be on tour with Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts this year for a much-anticipated reunion tour, but that run has been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
