Halestorm Prepping ‘Live in Philly’ Vinyl Release
Lzzy Hale and Halestorm will reissue their “Live in Philly” 2010 live set on vinyl for the first time this December
Since live music returning still seems like a pipe-dream for American bands and fans, a handful of groups are gearing up to release live albums in hopes to help fill that void of live music for the time being.
Halestorm will reissue the band’s 2010 release, “Live in Philly,” on vinyl for the first time in December. The collection was recorded at the TLA club in Pennsylvania roughly one year after Halestorm released their self-titled debut album in 2009, making this one of the band’s early performances.
“It was a time of discovering who we were, not just to ourselves…but who we were to the world,” frontwoman Lzzy Hale said in a statement. “When I listen to this live album, I still remember the feeling of beautiful panic before hitting the stage at the TLA, a place where I had experienced the live shows of many of my idols as a young Pennsylvania girl.”
Halestorm’s “Live in Philly” reissue will arrive on Dec. 11.
Danish metal band Volbeat has also announced a live set. “Rewind, Replay, Rebound: Live in Deutschland” will feature the band’s 27-song set recorded during their German tour in 2019.
“The German audience has always had a special place in our hearts, since the very beginning,” frontman Michael Poulsen said in a statement. “They have always supported us and still do. It’s amazing to see the impact the fans have had on Volbeat, we’ve become fans of theirs, too.”
Volbeat’s “”Rewind, Replay, Rebound: Live in Deutschland” will hit stores on Nov. 27.
