3 Doors Down Honoring 20th Anniversary of ‘The Better Life’ with Virtual Concerts
3 Doors Down will celebrate the 20th anniversary of “The Better Life” album with three live stream events
Mississippi rock band 3 Doors Down celebrated a major milestone last year when their debut album, “The Better Life,” turned 20 years old. The album, released in February of 2000, featured the rock hits “Kryptonite”, “Loser” and “Be Like That” and has sold more than six million copies worldwide to date.
Unfortunately, the band wasn’t able to tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “The Better Life” due to the pandemic, and they’re still unable to hit the road. In leu of live tour dates, 3 Doors Down have decided to put together a series of virtual shows to honor the album that will arrive as three pay-per-view performances.
The series will kick off on Friday (Feb. 5) with the band performing “The Better Life” from front to back, plus three never-before-heard songs. On Feb. 19, the group will perform their greatest hits acoustically. On March 5, they’ll kick into high gear with a performance of their greatest hits “live and electric.” All performances will start at 9 p.m. ET.
Tickets for each virtual concert will run $20, or fans may have access to all three of them for $50. Limited-edition and exclusive merch packages are also for sale. Fans will be allowed to stream each show on-demand for 48 hours after they debut. For more information and to purchase tickets, head to Boxoffice.Mandolin.com.
“I think we can all safely say 2020 is a year we all want to get behind us,” 3 Doors Down vocalist Brad Arnold said in a statement. “We jumped when presented with the opportunity to kick-off 2021 with these PPV shows. As a band, we didn’t get to play together last year, so we’re looking forward to rocking these shows for our fans across the world and looking forward to hitting the road later in 2021.”
Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down recently spoke with Audio Ink Radio about the 20th anniversary of “The Better Life.” In the interview, he stated that his favorite memory from that era was, “just looking off the stage at all those faces and all those smiles and all those people that are so happy to be at a concert and getting up there and jamming with them. I’m ready to see those smiles again.” Listen to the full interview with Arnold via Audio Ink Radio on Apple Podcasts here and Spotify Podcasts here.
