Listen to two new songs from Nashville rockers Kings of Leon, “The Bandit” and “100,000 People”
Nashville rockers Kings of Leon have announced the details of their much-anticipated new record. The set, which will mark Kings of Leon’s eighth studio album, will be called “When You See Yourself” and arrive on March 5 via RCA. Markus Dravs, who is known for his work with Kings of Leon contemporaries Arcade Fire and Coldplay, produced the album.
The quartet announced the news of a new album in a novel way- through a surprise T-shirt mailer that went out to fans. The mailer included the track list for “When You See Yourself” and a portion of the new album’s lyrics.
In advance of the release, Kings of Leon have also shared two new songs from the upcoming album, “The Bandit” and “100,000 People.” Both songs are available now for digital download and can be streamed below.
“When You See Yourself” marks Kings of Lion’s follow-up to 2016’s “Walls,” which scored the guys the modern rock radio singles “Waste a Moment” and “Reverend.” The band got together in the early-2000s and landed their big break in 2008 with their fourth studio album, “Only By the Night.” That record earned Kings of Leon a bevy of alternative and pop radio airplay with the singles, “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody.”
Kings Of Leon have also kicked off a new merch line on their official website for a good cause. The new line features the “Hero T-shirt,” with 100 percent of the funds raised from sales going to Live Nation’s Crew Nation relief fund, which assists live music crews suffering amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The shirt will be available through Jan. 15.
