Candlebox will release their seventh studio album, “Wolves,” this fall, featuring 11 original tracks

Candlebox have a new album on the way. The Seattle rockers will release their seventh studio set, “Wolves,” on Sept. 17. The new Candlebox album, which the band recorded with producer Dean Dichoso in Los Angeles’ Henson Studios, will mark the group’s follow-up to 2016’s “Disappearing in Airports.”

“Wolves” will include the previously released song “Let Me Down Easy.” That track was co-written by Peter Cornell, the brother of late Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell.

“When I wrote the song with Peter Cornell, I told him I wanted something that was swampy and bluesy and sort of Neil Young, ‘Rust Never Sleeps,’ sort of a ‘Crazy Horse’ vibe, and he sent me the song on acoustic, and I immediately fell in love with it,” Candlebox vocalist Kevin Martin told Audio Ink Radio in a recent interview.

Martin added, “I was like, that’s going to be the catalyst of what I do from now on, musically, for this record. So, it really kind of forced me to make this the record that I made, and I’m super happy about it because a lot of times when I want to make an album, I look for one song that kind of sparks the rest of the record, and that hasn’t happened in a while with me. So, I was really, really stoked when, when he sent me the song.”

“Wolves” also features a just-released new single called “My Weakness,” which is available now through digital platforms. Martin calls “My Weakness” a love song akin to “The Summer of ’69” with a Bruce Springsteen vibe, “where you can feel the band just wants to take off with you the whole time.”

Candlebox’s “Wolves” Track List:

“All Down Hill from Here”
“Let Me Down Easy”
“Riptide”
“Sunshine”
“My Weakness”
“We”
“Nothing Left to Lose”
“Lost Angeline”
“Trip”
