Clutch Prepping for U.S. Tour with Stoner, Featuring Former Kyuss Members
Clutch are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a cross-country U.S. tour, featuring support from Stoner, a band made up for former members of Kyuss
Clutch are gearing up for a busy 2021, as the metal band has announced a lengthy round of tours with new band Stoner, featuring ex-Kyuss members Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri, serving as support.
The tour, named “30 Years of Rock & Roll” in honor of Clutch’s 30th anniversary as a band, includes three legs. All legs feature Stoner with additional, rotating openers.
The first leg begins Sept. 8 in Norfolk, Virginia, and wraps up with a Sept. 18 stop in Pensacola, Florida. On that leg, Telekinetic Yeti will open. Leg two kicks off Sept. 29 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and concludes Oct. 9 in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, with King Buffalo serving as support. Lastly, the third leg is the previously announced collection of holiday concerts starting Dec. 27 stop in Baltimore, Maryland, and running through a New Year’s Eve concert in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the Native Howl opening.
Clutch are touring in support of their latest studio album, 2018’s “Book of Bad Decisions.” Over the course of last year’s lockdown, Clutch also released the compilation sets “Monsters, Machines, and Mythological Beasts” and “The Weathermaker Vault Series, Volume 1,” as well as a live collection called “Live from the Doom Saloon Vol. 2.”
Stoner will release their debut album, “Stoner’s Rule,” on June 25.
