Limp Bizkit Announce Summer U.S. Tour Dates
Fred Durst and company are back, as Limp Bizkit is spearheading a summer U.S. run with support from Spiritbox
Limp Bizkit, the outfit behind such nu-metal hits as “Nookie” and “Rollin,'” are back with a summer headlining U.S. fun, featuring support from metal band Spiritbox. The tour, called “The Limited Post Pandemic Popup Party,” will see the band appearing at a handful of intimate concert venues.
The headlining begins July 29 at the Metro in Chicago, and runs through an Aug. 24 date at the Palladium in Los Angeles. Limp Bizkit’s appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza festival in Chicago also falls within the run.
Limp Bizkit released their latest album, “Gold Cobra,” in 2011, and there’s no word yet on a follow-up. That said, the band has continued to tour on-and-off as fans wait for new music.
Limp Bizkit currently includes their classic lineup of frontman Fred Durst, guitarist Wes Borland, bass player Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto and turntablist DJ Lethal. Spiritbox hail from Canada and have garnered airplay around the globe with their heavy metal sound. The band is currently working on its its debut album.
In addition to the headlining gigs and Lollapalooza appearance, Limp Bizkit’s summer also features stints at festivals such as Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Danville, Virginia; Rebel Rock in Orlando, Florida; Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin; Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma; and Aftershock in Sacramento, California.
Tickets for the headlining tour go on sale to the general public starting this Friday (June 25) via Ticketmaster. Pre-sales start today (June 22).
