Iron Maiden Frontman Bruce Dickinson Bringing Unique Tour to North America
Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden will head to the U.S. and Canada in early 2022 for his spoken-word tour, “An Evening with Bruce Dickinson”
Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson is coming to the U.S. and Canada, but don’t expect this tour to be the typical Maiden show. While Dickinson is known for heading up Iron Maiden, this time around, he’s bringing a lengthy spoken-word tour, dubbed “An Evening with Bruce Dickinson,” to North America in early 2022.
So, what should you expect from these “evening with” shows? At Dickinson explains, the musician spends the first part of the evening performing a “satirical monologue,” complete with videos, anecdotes, photography and a performance. At times, the Maiden frontman has even broken out into spontaneous a cappella song during past spoken-word tours.
The latter half of the show features something of great interested to Iron Maiden fans: a Q & A session with the audience. Patrons are encouraged to ask wacky questions, with a press release stating, “The more left-field and quirky the question, the more interesting and compelling the response is likely to be.” Fans can ask about anything from Iron Maiden to Dickinson’s history as a pilot to his penchant for fencing.
The U.S. leg of the North American tour will set off Jan. 17 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and runs until March 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In total, Dickinson will perform 44 U.S. shows. From there, Dickinson will head to Canada, kicking off his run March 14 in Vancouver and remaining in the country through a March 30 date in Kitchener, Ontario.
Tickets for the newly-announced dates are go on sale now. View the full roster of dates for Bruce Dickinson’s 2022 North American tour below.
Dickinson first set off on his spoken-word tour last year in the U.K. He was forced to drop off the tour, though, when a member of Dickinson’s immediate family tested positive for COVID-19. He latest tested positive.
