Iron Maiden and Marvel Join Forces for New Merchandise Line
A new collection of apparel honors the legacy of heavy metal band Iron Maiden and the Marvel comic franchise
Iron Maiden and Marvel are teaming up for a bevy of gifts for metal and comic fans just in time for the holidays. Specifically, Iron Maiden and Marvel are releasing a collection of apparel that puts the spotlight on famous Marvel characters and Maiden’s mascot, Eddie.
This collaboration bring together the worlds of both brands, with designs that pay honor Wolverine, Venom, Thanos and Deadpool with variations of popular Iron Maiden album and single artwork.
“Eddie has long stood shoulder to shoulder with the greatest super heroes and we’re also pretty proud of the Worlds we created for his many incarnations – from battlefields to Egyptian tombs to frozen icescapes or futuristic cities,” Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood said in a statement. “We think that the twist of placing Venom, Thanos, Thor or Deadpool in our Maiden worlds will excite fans of both cultures.”
“This collaboration offers another exciting example of how the Marvel brand continues to push into lifestyle areas, with music being a top priority, and the collection allows fans to pay tribute to our iconic characters, while celebrating the legendary, Iron Maiden,” Paul Gitter, SVP, Marvel Licensing, added.
Currently, mainly T-shirts and sweaters are being offered. View the clothing line in Iron Maiden’s store. The line is also available at Hot Topic and German e-tailer EMP.
Iron Maiden recently released their latest studio album, “Senjutsu.” The record debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart in September, marking their highest showing on the chart to date.
