Journey Book 2022 Tour with Billy Idol and Toto
Journey have announced a lengthy 2022 tour with support from Billy Idol and Toto
Longstanding classic rockers Journey have announced a 2021 Las Vegas residency to wrap up the year, as well as a full slate of North American headlining tour dates for 2022. They’re bringing some heavy-hitters along for the ride, too, as Billy Idol will open on the first half of the tour and Toto on the second.
“It’s that time — time to get back to where we are used to being — onstage! We are looking forward to shifting into high gear and bringing you the best show possible,” Journey guitarist Neal Schon said in a statement regarding the upcoming tour, dubbed the “Freedom Tour.” He added, “The band is running on all 12 cylinders and very excited! Please come and join us once again for an evening full of rocking stage connection fun. See you soon, friends.”
“Touring next year with Journey is going to be great fun!” added Billy Idol. “An epic night you won’t want to miss. I’m excited to get back to so many wonderful cities, and I’m bringing Steve Stevens and the rest of the Billy Idol band with me!”
“On behalf of myself and the band, we are very honored and excited to do this tour with our old and dear friends Journey. Gonna be a great night of music, and as all the guys are lifelong friends… a blast off stage as well,” added Toto’s Steve Lukather.
Tickets for the upcoming shows, presented by AEG Presents, will go on sale this Friday (Nov. 19) at 10 a.m. via Journey’s website. View the full list of tour dates, which kick off Feb. 22 and run through May 11, below.
