Drake Attends NBA Game and Adorable Older Couple Doesn’t Know He’s Famous
Drake sat next to an older couple during a recent Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets game, and the couple had no idea he was famous
Drake is one of the most famous guys in the hip-hop world right now, so it’s a rare moment when he’s not instantly recognized in public. That said, it was probably refreshing when Drank found himself next to an adorable older couple at the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets game last week, who didn’t seem to know who he was at all. Watch the cute meeting below.
The folks running the cameras at the game knew Drake was there and kept putting him up on the big screen at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. They also played his chart-topping single “Way 2 Sexy” during some of the cuts. Drake is used to the attention, but the funniest moment happened when the guy next to him asked Drake if he was famous, since he was getting all this on screen love.
Drake, being Drake, was obviously amused and started laughing. He then asked the videographer to get some footage of the couple. Rumble, the mascot for Thunder, also joined in. In the end, Drake took to Instagram to post a selfie with the two, naming them, “my new parents.”
Drake was at the game to support his friend Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. They’re both Toronto natives, so they go way back. The Thunder fell to the Rockets, but Gilgeous-Alexander had a great night, scoring 39 points.
In other news, Drake and Kanye West recently ended their longstanding feud, which was major news in the hip-hop world. The two will appear together publicly for the Free Larry Hoover Concert next week, advocating for the clemency of Gangster Disciples co-founder Larry Hoover.
