Evanescence and Korn Announce 2022 Summer Tour
This summer will bring a nostalgic nu-metal trek featuring co-headliners Evanescence and Korn
It feels like the mid-2000s all over again, because two of nu-metal’s biggest names are rekindling their relationship and hitting the road together again for the first time since 2007. It makes sense, since nu-metal is all the rage again.
Korn and Evanescence have announce a major co-headlining North American tour for this summer. The trek is extra exciting because the two bands haven’t toured together the famed Family Values trek back in 2007. Back then, Korn had just released their untitled album, and Evanescence were touring behind their sophomore record, 2006’s “The Open Door.”
“We’re looking forward to going on tour this summer and bringing our friends, Evanescence, out,” Jonathan Davis of Korn said in a statement. “Whenever Amy comes to one of our shows, I always love seeing her on the side of the stage watching the whole set and rocking out. We’re gonna have a great time on this tour, and we can’t wait to see you there.”
“I fell hard into Korn’s music in high school. It was an inspiration during the formation of my own band. The chances we’ve had to play together over the years are special, a part of our history. They remain one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen, Amy Lee added. “It’s an honor and a thrill to go out with our friends again, our first full tour together since ’07. We’re all really looking forward to this.”
Korn will be touring behind their 2022 album, “Requiem,” which features the rock radio hits “Start the Healing,” “Forgotten” and “Lost in the Grandeur.” Evanescence will be tour behind last year’s “The Bitter Truth,” which featured the rock radio hits “Wasted on You,” “Use My Voice” and “Better Without You.”
