Melvins to Embark on Fall 2022 ‘Five Legged Tour’
Melvins will follow up their summer North American “Electric Roach Tour” with a fall run
Melvins are spending much of 2022 on the road. The legendary sludge band recently announced their summer “Electric Roach Tour,” and now, they’ve added a slew of new dates with a fall 2022 run, called “The Five Legged Tour.”
The tour will kick off Sept. 5 in San Francisco, California, and run through an Oct. 29 date at The Halloween Freakout Festival in Los Angeles, California. The crew has a number of shows across the U.S., with Buzz Osbourne exclaiming, “Nationwide once again! Nothing like touring the USA in the fall. Everyone’s a winner!”
We Are the Asteroid will open the run. Tickets for the dates will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time Friday (June 3rd) via Ticketmaster. View the full tour roster below.
Osbourne was recently a guest on the Audio Ink Radio show and discussed the untimely deaths of so many legendary grunge vocalists, such as Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley and Chris Cornell. “Well, it’s like, Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison all about the same time died,” he said. “You take out the drugs, none of those people die. Chris Cornell, that’s fairly mysterious what his death is. But, Layne Staley and Cobain, take out the drugs, it’s a different story.”
