Tool to Release 3-LP Vinyl Version of ‘Fear Inoculum’
Tool will release a special version of their 2019 studio album, “Fear Inoculum,” in August
Tool are celebrating their latest album, 2019’s “Fear Inoculum,” with a 180-gram, triple-LP vinyl edition of the collection. The package will be available Aug. 5 and retails for $64.98, which is a steal compared to the band’s last “Fear Inoculum” vinyl box set, which was $169.98.
The new 3-LP collection boasts fresh artwork from Adam Jones and comes in a triple gatefold jacket with a special, 12? x 36? double-sided poster. For more information and to pre-order the set, go here.
“Fear Inoculum” marked Tool’s first full-length album in more than a decade. Since then, the band has also released a new version of their single “Opiate” off the set, called “Opiate².” That release also came with a short movie and music video directed by Jones, which was also available as a physical release on Blu-Ray.
In other news, Tool recently closed out their major 2022 world tour, which saw the band performing a string of shows following the pandemic restrictions being lifted. Those who want to get their Maynard James Keenan fix this summer on tour can see one of his other bands, Puscifer, on a cross-country U.S. tour.
Meanwhile, Keenan’s third band, A Perfect Circle, is on hiatus. Audio Ink Radio recently caught up with A Perfect Circle guitarist Billy Howerdel to talk about his solo music and A Perfect Circle, and regarding new music from the latter, he explained that it’s in the works. “I’ve always got it in the back in my mind, and if there’s something that sounds like it could go there, it kind of goes into that folder,” Howerdel said. “I feel pretty good about what’s in store for the future there. But, it all can change, too. Once I give it to Maynard and then he digests it, he’ll have his take, and we’ll see where it goes from there.” Find the full album here.
