Alter Bridge Release Powerful New Single, ‘Silver Tongue’
Listen to the debut single off Alter Bridge’s upcoming album
Alter Bridge recently announced a new album on the way, and now, the longstanding rock band has unleashed that record’s first single. The song, titled “Silver Tongue,” offers a heavy, aggressive vibe and is the lead single off the upcoming studio album, “Pawns & Kings.”
The song opens with a guitar-heavy passage, waking the listener up and serving up a fierce opening passage. From there, the drums kick in, and the heavy riffs make for the perfect backdrop to Myles Kennedy’s melodic vocals. It’s a very strong song, and with its heavy nature, it sets the listener up for what’s to come on “Pawns & Kings.”
In addition to releasing the new song, Alter Bridge has joined forces with creator and director Ollie Jones of Better Feeling Films to create an animated music video to compliment “Silver Tongue.” In the video, the characters fall under the spell of a painting that comes to life. “. The painting drags the characters into a dark world and forces them to fight for survival in a classic battle of good versus evil,” a press release explains. View the music video below.
“Sliver Tongue” is currently available via all digital service providers. The album, “Pawns & Kings,” is currently available for pre-order and will arrive Oct. 14 via Napalm Records. “From the opening riffs of ‘This Is War’ to the title track album closer ‘Pawns & Kings,’ Alter Bridge returns with an album of intense tracks that were born after the cycle for their last album was cut short by the global pandemic,” a press release states.
In other news, Alter Bridge will head back out on tour in November and December, wrapped up their 2022 on tour in Europe and the U.K. For more information, visit the band’s official website.
