Blink-182 Reunite with Tom DeLonge, Announce Tour Dates
View upcoming tour dates for the newly reunited Blink-182
It’s official: Tom DeLonge is once again a member of blink-182. After years of being away and working on other projects, including his Angels & Airwaves band, DeLonge is back with the longstanding pop-punk band with the promise of new music on the way.
The band took to social media to announce the news. In addition to the reunion news, the band also teased a new song, called “Edging,” out on Oct. 14 and a massive tour. The trek will take Blink-182 around the world in 2023 and 2024, including a roster of North American tour dates. View the full list below and watch a funny promo video promoting the tour, to boot. The reunion isn’t a total surprise. DeLonge had hinted at his blink-182 return earlier this year by mentioning the band name in his Instagram bio.
While DeLong was away, Alkaline Trio guitarist and vocalist Matt Skiba replaced DeLonge in the band from 2015 to now. In the summer, Skiba said he didn’t know if he was still in the group. Now, a true reunion of the classic Blink-182 lineup is here, and fans are stoked.
Skiba appeared on two albums during his time with Blink-182, including 2016’s “California” and 2019’s “Nine.” No word on anything from Skiba’s other band, Alkaline Trio, now that he’s free from Blink-182 duties.
Blink-182’s most recent studio album with DeLonge is 2011’s “Neighborhoods.”
