Jane’s Addiction Announce Short US Tour
Jane’s Addiction have added a handful of spring tour dates to their schedule
Jane’s Addiction are gearing up for headlining performances at three Lollapalooza festivals in South America this year. Before then, though, the legendary alternative rock band has announced a short west coast tour for March, which will lead them up to those Lola shows.
The group will set of on their tour starting March 4 in Bakersfield, California, and stay on the road for five shows before wrapping things up March 12 in Reno, Nevada. Then, they’ll perform at Lollapalooza Argentina (March 18), Lollapalooza Chile (March 19) and Lollapalooza Brazil (March 25).
Tickets for the U.S. shows go on sale to the general public starting Friday (Jan. 20) via Ticketmaster. Concertgoers can also find tickets at secondary ticket vendors, such as via StubHub. No word yet on if the band has plans to add more tour dates to their schedule or release new music, but the former seems likely, since Jane’s always performs at the U.S. edition of Lollapalooza in Chicago in July/August.
Last year was a bit one for Jane’s Addiction, as they brought original bassist Eric Avery back in the fold and embarked on an arena run with the Smashing Pumpkins. One negative, though, was that guitarist Dave Navarro was unable to go on tour, as has been dealing with long COVID, so a reunion of the group’s classic lineup wasn’t able to happen. Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen filled in on guitar for that tour. Right now, it’s unknown if Navarro will be back for the March dates.
