Aerosmith’s Joe Perry to Embark on Spring Tour
Joe Perry is hitting the road with his solo band this spring
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has announced a brief April 2023 US tour with his solo project, aptly named The Joe Perry Project. The tour sets off April 15 with a show in Mashantucket, Connecticut, followed by gigs in Boston on April 16 and New York City on April 18. Then, the guitarist will appear at venues near Chicago twice, stopping in Des Plaines and St. Charles, Illinois, on April 20 and 21, respectively. Finally, Perry will perform a final tour date in Los Angeles on April 26.
Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. More ticket information and VIP packages are available via Joe Perry’s
official website.
Perry’s touring band features Gary Cherone of Extreme and Van Halen on lead vocals; Aerosmith backup singer Buck Johnson on keyboards and vocals; drummer Jason Sutter of Cher and Chris Cornell’s band; and original Joe Perry Project bass player David Hull.
Perry started the band in 1979 when he took a break from Aerosmith. He ended up releasing three studio albums with the project but halted things when he reunited with Aerosmith in 1985. Now, even though he’s still very much a part of Aerosmith, he dabbles with this project.
