Staind and Godsmack Announce Co-Headlining Tour
Staind and Godsmack are hitting the road together for a summer tour
Longstanding rock bands Staind and Godsmack have announced a joint summer 2023 US tour, keeping the guys on the road from mid-July through the end of August. As it turns out, both bands are celebrating the 20th anniversary of landmark albums, to boot.
The 25-date trek beings July 18 in St. Louis, Missouri, and run through an Aug. 31 date in Austin, Texas. A Godsmack pre-sale starts Wednesday (March 29) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code THESKY, and a Live Nation pre-sale begins Thursday (March 30) at 10 a.m. local time with the code OPENER. Tickets go on the sale to the general public starting Friday (March 31).
“Really looking forward to running on tour this summer with our old pals in Staind,” Godsmack said in a statement. “For sure every night will be packed with great music and A lot of fun memories! Don’t miss it!”
Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis added, “We’re really looking forward to being out with Sully and the guys this summer,” and Staind guitarist Mike Mushok said, “The first time we shared the stage with Godsmack was the 1998 Warped Tour and here we are 25 years later still going strong. We’re stoked to be sharing the stage with our old friends this summer.”
Godsmack are touring being their latest album, “Lighting Up the Sky.” Staind have been on again, off again for years, but regrouped in 2019 to tour and start working on their first studio album since 2011’s self-titled release.
Godsmack’s “Faceless” turns 20 on April 8. The album featured the rock chart-toppers “Straight Out of Line,” “I Stand Alone” and “Serenity.” Staind’s “14 Shades of Grey” turns 20 on May 20. That record brought the hits “So Far Away” and “Price to Play.”
