Bring Me the Horizon Readying New Album, ‘Post Human: NeX GEn’
Bring Me the Horizon have announced the details of their upcoming, seventh studio album
Bring Me the Horizon will release their seventh full-length studio album, “Post Human: NeX GEn,” on Sept. 15 via Columbia Records. The new album news comes following the release of a handful of new singles, including “DiE4u,” “sTraNgeRs,” “LosT” and “AmEN!” There’s no word yet on whether those songs will be included on the upcoming album, as the track list isn’t out yet, but it’s a probability.
Bring Me the Horizon announced the album in a very futuristic way, keeping in line with the album title. They used an immersive augmented-reality method to announce the set, giving fans clues and riddles that led to The Church of Genxsis, a special building that was at the Download Festival in the U.K. last weekend. The band was one of the most anticipated headliners at this year’s Download Festival, so the “church” brought extra buzz.
“Post Human: NeX GEn” is part of Bring Me the Horizon’s “Post Human” series. That series started with their 2020 EP, “Post Human: Survival Horror.” That set offered high-profile collaborations BABYMETAL, YUNGBLUD, Nova Twins and Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee.
In other news, Bring Me the Horizon are gearing up to hit the road on a tour, opening for Fall Out Boy. The tour launches on June 21 in Chicago, Illinois, and runs through an Aug. 6 date at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. For upcoming shows, visit Bring Me the Horizon’s official website. Pre-orders for “Post Human: NeX GEn” are available now via the band’s official store, but physical copies won’t drop until Jan. 12, 2024.
Most recently, Bring Me The Horizon surprised fans with the aforementioned new track “AmEN!” featuring popular rapper Lil Uzi Vert and hardcore legend Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw. Listen to the song via YouTube here.
