Tool Announce New Tour Dates
Tool will hit the road in support of “Fear Inoculum” for a string of fall North American tour dates
One of modern rock’s most in-demand bands to see live in concert, Tool, have announced a new batch of 2023 tour dates. The shows come in addition to Tool’s recently announced festival appearances at Power Trip, Aftershock and Louder Than Life. The gigs include an added six weeks of performances, including the group’s first Canadian tour dates since 2019.
Most recently, Tool wrapped up headlining performances at Welcome to Rockville and the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival. Tickets for the newly-announced tour dates this Friday (June 9) at 10 a.m. local venue time. Those who are part of the Tool Army can take advantage of pre-sale tickets starting Thursday (June 8) at 10 a.m. local time. According to a release, a small number of VIP packages will also be available starting Thursday to Tool Army members. The VIP tickets include premium tickets, soundcheck access, exclusive merchandise and more. Those special VIPs will also be available to the general public on Friday.
Tool are touring behind their latest studio album, 2019’s “Fear Inoculum,” which earned the band a Grammy Award for
Best Metal Performance for “7empest.” The album marked Tool’s first studio release is more than 13 years. Since the 2019 release, the group has toured both the U.S. and Europe and headlined a string of high-profile music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Welcome to Rockville and the Sonic Temple Arts & Music Festival. In addition, Tool celebrated the 30th anniversary of the “Opiate EP” in 2022 by releasing “Opiate2,” a re-imagining of the EP’s title track, released with a 10-minute short movie created by Adam Jones and visual artist Dominic Hailstone. Tool’s latest album, “Fear Inoculum,” was also ranked the No. 2 best rock and metal album of the 2010s by Audio Ink Radio.
