Nu-metal kingpins Mudvayne have returned with their first headlining tour in 14 years. The group kicked off their much-anticipated trek, called “The Psychotherapy Sessions,” last week at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. The tour also includes openers Coal Chamber, GWAR, Nonpoint and Butcher Babies.
“The Psychotherapy Sessions” trek runs through run through August 26th in Englewood, California. On opening night, Mudvayne served up a classic set that boasted all of their rock radio hits, including “Not Falling,” “World So Cold,” “Dig,” “Happy?” and more. View the full setlist at the end of the post, as well as fan-filmed video of the show.
While “The Psychotherapy Sessions” marks Mudvayne’s first headlining tour since 2009, they’ve been active on the road the past few years. The band co-headlined the “Freaks on Parade” tour with Rob Zombie in 2022. Moreover, support on that tour included Static-X and Powerman 5000. Before that tour, Mudvayne performed their first reunion show back together at Ohio’s Inkcarceration festival in 2021.
Mudvayne are also working on new music, with frontman Chad Gray often teasing fans with details of new music on social media. Gray also appeared on Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ’s show, “Drinks With Johnny,” in 2021, saying, “Mudvayne is hopefully going to be working on some new s*** soon.” Meanwhile, “The Psychotherapy Sessions” opening act Butcher Babies recently released a double album, “Eye for an Eye…” and “…’Till the World’s Blind,” which they’re promoting on the current tour.
