Sevendust and Static-X Announce New Tour Dates
If you haven’t been able to see Sevendust and Static-X in concert yet, good news. The guys have added a third leg to their co-headlining North American tour. Sevendust and Static-X already wrapped up a fall 2023 leg of their co-headlining tour, and they have a winter 2024 leg up ahead that will set off in February. But, why stop there?
The band will embark on a spring leg of the co-headlining run starting at April 28 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and keep them on the road through a May 18 date in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dope and Lies of Loyalty will open on the tour, as well as the tour dates that kick off in February.
A bunch of different ticket pre-sales are happening now, and general ticket sales begin Friday (Jan. 12) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
The tour is called the “Machine Killer” tour. The name brings together the title of Static-X’s sophomore album, “Machine,” and Sevendust’s newest studio release, 2023’s “Truth Killer.”
Static-X are gearing up to release a new album, “Project Regeneration: Vol 2,” on Jan. 26. The album has been pushed back a few times, with the most recent date being in November 2023. This will mark the band’s second “Project Regeneration” release and final to feature vocals from the late, great Wayne Static, that were found in random tapes.
Static-X bass player Tony Campos recently told Audio Ink Radio in an interview that while the band is open to releasing new music after “Project Regeneration: Vol 2” comes out, they probably won’t make albums anymore. “I don’t know about making full records anymore, because records aren’t really how people listen to music anymore,” he said. “But, as far as recording new music without Wayne’s vocals, there’s a couple of songs on volumes one and two that don’t have Wayne’s vocals on them. We got Xer0 to do the vocals on them, and I think they sound pretty cool. So, if we do proceed with more new recorded material, more than likely, we’ll have Xer0 singing on them.”
