Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Reveals He Cheated on His Wife, Welcomes New Baby
Current Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl has gone public to admit that he cheated on his wife and now has a new baby.
In a post on social media, Grohl stated that he’s welcomed a child “outside” of his marriage and is working to “regain” the trust of his wife, Jordyn Blum, and other children with Blum. Grohl posted the news on Instagram on Tuesday, September 10.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote in a statement. He added, “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
He continued in the post, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
The Instagram post is stark and simply white with black lettering. It’s obvious Grohl wanted the post to look and convey the seriousness of this matter. I truly hope outlets stay away from Grohl and his family during this time and not try to find out details about who the “other” woman is or find pictures of the new baby. This is a private matter, and Grohl and his family deserve respect and privacy. Also, it’s not like the first time a rock star has cheated on his or her spouse. Unfortunately, it’s common, and again, these stars are just people. They aren’t perfect. They deserve to be left alone in these private matters.
Grohl hasn’t made any other comments on the matter. Several outlets have reached out to him for additional comments, but this is also he’s stating at the moment.
Grohl married Blum in a private ceremony at the couple’s Los Angeles home on August 2, 2003. The marriage marked both Blum and Grohl’s second, via the New York Post. Previously, Grohl was married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood, but they got divorced in 1997.
The couple have three children together: Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint, whom they had in 2006, 2009 and 2014, respectively, according to Page Six.
In Foo Fighters news, the band currently only has one tour date on the books. It’s at Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Sept. 29. As for music, the band’s latest full-length studio album is 2023’s “But Here We Are.”
