Oasis Announce U.S. Tour Dates Without ‘Dynamic Pricing’
British rock band Oasis have announced more tour dates for their 2025 reunion run, and some of those new dates are in the U.S. The band is definitely targeting the U.S., in a good way, as they took to their official X account to state, “America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”
Per their official site, the North American leg of the new Oasis tour dates will begin August 24 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, and hit Chicago, Illinois; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Los Angeles, California; and Mexico City, Mexico. View the newly announced roster of shows below.
‘Ticketmaster’s Dynamic Pricing Model Will Not Be Applied to New Shows
What’s of interest to attendees is that the band says they’re not going to use Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model.
“Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model will not be applied to the forthcoming sale of tickets to Oasis concerts in North America,” the band’s management said on Instagram.
“It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable,” the statement adds. “But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans.”
Elsewhere in the statement, it says that this ticket move was taking place to “hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the UK and Ireland experienced recently.”
Liam even took to social media at the time, saying he was upset that fans weren’t able to get tickets. “I’m seriously gutted for people that can’t get tickets I can’t even go there it hurts my heart,” he wrote on social media. “I know people will think I’m taking the piss but I’m not I want to celebrate this biblical moment with everyone I gotta go I’m sorry.”
The Reunion Oasis Fans Thought They’d Never See
Oasis announced their reunion after 15 years of being apart. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher famously don’t get along, so for years, it seemed as if the chance of them ever reuniting was non-existent. Ticket prices went through the roof, when the band announced some reunion shows, and it was so wild that the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) had to launch an investigation into Ticketmaster over a possible “breach of consumer protection law.”
According to an additional statement from Oasis, the band members themselves “at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used,” per The New York Times, but also said that their managers and promoters agreed to “a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing.”
