A beloved alternative rock band that rose to fame in the 1990s is hinting at a reunion, which would be welcome news for fans across the globe.

According to Billboard, the five members of Radiohead have created a new limited liability partnership under the name RHEUK25 LLP, per the British Government’s Companies House agency.

“An LLP is a limited liability partnership where each partner has limited personal liability for the debts or claims of the partnership,” according to Investopedia. This LLP could help the band work and release music outside the traditional record label, which is something Thom Yorke and Radiohead have done for years.

Radiohead Could Be Gearing Up for a Reunion and Tour

As Pitchfork points out, Radiohead have substantiated similar LLPs before announcing new tour dates or releasing new music. The band did the very same action before release their latest album, 2016’s “A Moon Shaped Pool,” plus “The King of Limbs,” “Kid A Mnesia” and “In Rainbows.”

Adding to the idea that Radiohead are gearing up for at least a reunion tour, Resident Advisor reports that, allegedly, four tickets to a “Radiohead concert of your choice” have been donated by Blueyed Pictures, the group’s management, to a Los Angeles fire relief auction created by Palisades High School. That relief auction closed Monday, March 17, with the listing for the tickets stating that the highest bidder would get the honor of picking a preferred city and date “based on the band’s tour schedule.”

Resident Advisor also reported that a source close to the band has confirmed to them that Yorke and the group have “placed holds in select European cities for a run of residency gigs this autumn.”

Whenever Radiohead hit the stage again, it will mark their first time playing together since before the pandemic. The band’s last live performance took place on August 1, 2018 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. That show was the final date of their “A Moon Shaped Pool” behind the band’s album of the same name.

Radiohead Rose to Fame With 1992’s ‘Creep’

As Rolling Stone describes of Radiohead, the band “emerged from the fading ’90s Brit-pop invasion with a sound that was moody, melodic and explosive, with roots planted firmly in both alternative culture and the art-rock legacy of such classic rockers as Pink Floyd.” Honestly, this writer doesn’t hear the Pink Floyd influence, but there is a sort of Brit-pop vibe present in most of Radiohead’s earlier music.

“With the release of 1997’s ‘OK Computer,’ Radiohead were among the most closely watched bands of the decade, drawing on influences as varied as Queen, R.E.M. and Miles Davis,” Rolling Stone adds. “The Oxford musicians were embraced as saviors of modern guitar rock, only to resurface in 2000 with a new sound heavy with electronics, minimal vocals and few guitars.”

Radiohead’s highest-charting song to date is “Creep,” which dates back to 1992. It’s funny, because Yorke is often hesitant to talk about the hit. The song peaked at No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. It was quite a feat for a band that wasn’t from Seattle at the time, since the grunge scene really ruled the early-1990s in the U.S. and beyond.
