Finding love isn’t always easy, and that’s especially true when you’re a famous rock star. Being on the road so much can make it difficult to find a partner who understands that on-the-go lifestyle.

But, one should never give up on finding love, and unlike what the Def Leppard song implies, it’s never too late for love. In that spirit, one rocker has found love after a long search and just got married for a fourth time.

Jane’s Addiction Guitarist Gets Married

It’s time to congratulate longtime Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, who got married to his girlfriend, Swedish actress and fashion designer Vanessa DuBasso, in an intimate and gothic service over the weekend.

Navarro, 57, and DuBasso, 31, let People magazine in on the details of the wedding. In a feature about the big day, People noted that the couple, “hosted a multi-day celebration featuring a forest ceremony, dungeon dancing and a bonfire on the beach.”

The wedding happened on Saturday, March 29, at Dunskey Estate in Stranraer, Scotland, and according to People, it was a “gothic, darkly romantic atmosphere” at the event.

According to People, the couple “always dreamed of tying the knot at a castle, and when they saw pictures of Dunskey … they were instantly captivated by the ‘enchanting’ venue.”

Per the official Dunskey website, “Amidst 2000 acres of spectacular Scottish countryside sits Dunskey Estate. A sprawling sanctuary, home to an Edwardian castle, luxurious lodges and panoramic views of the land and sea, it’s the perfect environment for both large group getaways and small intimate gatherings.”

DuBasso told People that the place “exudes a moody, ethereal charm. Surrounded by a towering forest, a serene lake and the ruins of a castle along the shoreline, it felt like stepping into a fairytale.”

They Wanted the Wedding to ‘Feel Like a Dream’

Navarro told People, “We wanted our wedding to feel like a dream. It was important to us to find a place that felt unlike anywhere we had ever been, a place that embraced nature and transported us to another world. We wanted our loved ones to share in this intimate experience.”

The two had rehearsal dinner on Friday, March 28, and according to People, it offered “lots of black candles and dee-colored flowers. At the actual wedding the two “exchanged handwritten vows in a forest ceremony featuring a series of gold candelabra at the altar, an aisle lined with white roses and chandeliers hung from the trees to create ‘an almost celestial ambiance,'” according to the publication.

Dunskey Estate owner Ali Orr Ewing officiated the ceremony, according to People, and DuBasso wore “white with subtle black details.”

So, what about the cake? “When it came to the wedding cake, DuBasso, who is Swedish, had her heart set on a princess cake, a classic domed confection consisting of layers of sponge, raspberry jam, vanilla custard and whipped cream and topped with a marzipan overlay,” People stated. “While the cake is typically green, DuBasso and Navarro’s was decorated with white icing, black cathedral patterns and roses.”

The staff at Audio Ink Radio wishes the newly married couple many years of happiness.
