Motley Crue are getting up there in age, so it’s really no surprise if any of the band members start suffering health issues. Now, while the legendary 1980s rock band was scheduled to begin their spring Las Vegas residency later this month, they’ve been forced to postpone the dates due to singer Vince Neil’s health.

In a statement posted to social media on Tuesday, March 4, the band shared the sad news about Neil and rescheduled dates for the run.

Vince Neil to Undergo a ‘Required Medical Procedure’

Motley Crue’s residency that was originally set for later this month at Vegas’ Dolby Live at Park MGM will now take place in September and October. It’s such a bummer for people who had set up trips to go to Las Vegas to see Crue live in concert, but the band has to do what’s right for Neil and his health.

The band took to Instagram and their other social media accounts to share the news, stating that Neil will have to undergo a “required medical procedure recently advised” by Neil’s doctors. They didn’t elaborate on the exact procedure but just said it would result in the residency getting postponed.

“To all the Crueheads who were looking forward to see us this spring, I’m truly sorry,” Neil wrote in a section of the group’s statement. “My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserve, and I can’t wait to return to the stage. Thank you for all the well wishes that keep reaching me. Your support means more than you know.”

Motley Crue’s Band Members Send Well Wishes to Vince Neil

The Crue’s other band members, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and John 5, also sent out heartfelt wishes to Neil. “Please join us in wishing Vince a speedy recovery,” they stated. “We are looking forward for him to get well again and to take over Vegas together in September. We can’t wait to see you all out there, and thank you for your understanding and support in the meantime.”

The statement went on further to say that the band “is excited to bring an unforgettable night and inimitable new show with many surprises to fans for the residency this fall,” and mentioned that they’re going from the Sunset Strip to the Las Vegas strip.

Tickets for the spring residency dates will be honored for the fall dates. The residency will now take place during select dates from September 12 through October 3.

Motley Crue first announced the residency in October 2024, stating, “Motley Crue and Las Vegas have always been the perfect combination of extravagance and decadence.”

At the time, the statement added, “We’ve always loved the idea of the Vegas residency, because we’ve always loved the idea of staying in one location to build a unique show for the fans. We’re excited to get into rehearsals and work up a lot of songs that have been requested by the fans for years.”

The first date of the residency was initially scheduled for March 28.
