Linkin Park are moment away from the start of their 2025 world tour, which kicks off Saturday, April 26, in Austin, Texas. Ahead of the tour, the band has dropped some big news in the form of new music.

It was just last year that Linkin Park released their first album without longtime vocalist Chester Bennington, “From Zero,” so it hasn’t even been too long since their listeners have been without new music. But, this week, Linkin Park dropped a new single, “Unshatter.”

New Linkin Park Music Dates Back to Start of New Band

“Unshatter” was one of the first songs Linkin Park started working on with new singer Emily Armstrong, according to the band. The song is also one of three new, original tracks that arrive on the upcoming deluxe edition of Linkin Park’s “From Zero, the others being “along with “Up From the Bottom,” which dropped last month, and “Let You Fade.”

“Right out of the gate, a stomping groove sets the pace for ‘Unshatter,'” a release describes. “Distorted guitar crunch and kinetic production lays the framework for Mike Shinoda’s signature wordplay and airtight cadence. He passes the mic to Emily Armstrong whose gritty delivery drives the refrain… Teeming with emotion and energy, it has all the makings of a Linkin Park staple and future live favorite.”

Regarding the new track, Shinoda said, “‘Unshatter’ was an early track we made while recording ‘From Zero.’ Emily’s huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together.”

The deluxe version of “From Zero” drops on May 16. Listen to “Unshatter” via the official visualizer below.

Linkin Park’s tour will keep the band on the road through November 11 in Brasília, Brazil. While their spring tour is in the U.S., the tour will also pack in some U.K. and European dates.

“Anticipation has already reached fever pitch, resulting in 15 sellouts across the tour at legendary venues such as Wembley Stadium in London, Stade de France in Paris and Boston’s TD Garden where a second date has been added for July 31 due to overwhelming demand,” the band said in a statement. “This massive global jaunt carries them through to the end of the year, concluding on November 11 in Brasilia, Brazil. Special guests Spiritbox, AFI, Architects, grandson, Jean Dawson, JPEGMAFIA and PVRIS will join on select dates.”

Mike Shinoda Didn’t Want a Chester Bennington Copy

Speaking with Los Angeles radio station Alt 98.7 last November, Shinoda opened up about the process of getting a new Linkin Park vocalist.

“We just want Emily to be Emily,” he said in the interview. “The songs are the songs. Emily is Emily… There was a time early on, like 2020-ish, 2019, whatever — like, I remembered I was watching videos… I think a video of a cover band, a Linkin Park cover band, showed up in my feed. Fans were loving it. They were all like, ‘Oh my God, this person’s so good. They sound so much like Chester.’”
