Ozzy Osbourne has been pretty honest about his health problems over the past few years. The metal icon has been forced to cancel multiple tours and shows due to his health, so there was really no hiding his condition after a while. But, thankfully, Osbourne seems as healthy as he can be at 76 years old, and he’s getting ready for his final show with Black Sabbath and as a solo artist.
Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, and he has also had to undergo plenty of surgeries, including a major one in 2003 after a quad bike accident and suffering some falls. His Parkinson’s disease and all the surgeries have taken their toll on Osbourne, but he forges ahead.
Now, Osbourne is opening up about the state of his health leading up to his final gig, and he sounds like he’s getting ready to rock.
Ozzy Osbourne Drops Health News
In an interview on SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks on the Ozzy’s Boneyard channel, Osbourne talks about a big training regimen he’s doing to get him ready to play his final show at the Back to the Beginning festival in Aston Villa.
Talking with host Billy Morrison, he said, “I’m in heavy training for this Aston Villa thing that’s coming up.”
He added that it’s been a long time since he has worked out, noting, “I haven’t done anything for, jeez, it’s gonna be seven years. I’ve been through all these surgeries. It really is like starting from scratch.”
Osbourne opened up more about his health and workout routine getting ready for the big show, saying, “It’s endurance training. The first thing to go when you’re laid up is stamina. So believe it or not, I’m doing two sets of three minute walks a day and weight training. I’ve gotta get going, you know.”
He added, “I’m waking up in my body. Three minutes to you for instance is nothing, but I’ve been laying on my back recovering from umpteen surgeries.”
