Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider Shares Emotional Personal News

Dee Snider is known for rocking hard in Twisted Sister back in the 1980s, but he’s also a family man. He’s been married to his wife, Suzette, a costume designer, since 1981, and they’ve never really had any major public problems or gone through any of the drama that most famous couples do. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s been a cakewalk, but it appears that Dee and his family are very solid.
It’s refreshing to see a bona fide rock star who also appears to really be a family man at heart. Now, Snider has shared some personal news about his family that’s garnering plenty of attention.
Twisted Sister Frontman Shares Emotional News
On Friday, May 23, Snider took to X to share the good news that he is once again a grandfather.
“This morning I awoke to the news that my latest grandson Cillian Rose Snider had just been born on our new family compound,” he posted on the platform. “Such an amazing family experience to share this precious moment together! I am blessed with an amazing wife, family, life…and grandchild #6!!” So, this is his sixth grandchild. Snider certainly has a big family.
Followers were quick to offer up their congratulations to Snider. “Congratulations! What a wonderful start of a weekend! Bless his little soul. I wish him all the love and joy this life could offer,” one stated. “Congratulations! Wishing you all health, happiness, and a long life to enjoy it all,” another stated.
“Congratulations! So happy for you and you ever-growing family! Time for a new song about the joy of grandchildren,” another said. “Congratulations to you and your daughter. What a blessing,” one more added.
Dee Snider Talks Moving to North Carolina
Earlier this month, Snider spoke with WFMY News to talk about to talk about moving to North Carolina and why he and his entire family decided to move to the state. Snider and Twisted Sister, of course, are from New York, and he talked about those roots.
“We’re from New York originally. We moved out to LA 10 years ago, the whole family,” he told WFMY. “And a couple of years ago, everybody was sitting around saying, you know, it’s time to get back to a calmer life.”
He continued, “We decided we’re gonna build a family compound, and we’re gonna start a family production company making movies, which is what we do now. We literally looked from the West Coast to the East Coast and slowly it started dialing in. North Carolina took the number one spot.”
Snider said that North Carolina’s filmmaking incentives were part of what attracted them to the state, but that wasn’t the main reason. He said it was the people of the state really got his heart.
“And people were amazing and that’s ultimately what it came down to. The people in North Carolina were welcoming and I don’t think it was just me, because they were nice to my family when I wasn’t there,” Snider said. “But they were welcoming and lovely and we said this is where we want to live.”
