Alice in Chains and Friends Fantasy Football Charity Auction Begins
Alice in Chains memorabilia is up for a good cause
While fans wait for a new Alice in Chains album to arrive, they can spend some time getting into the latest Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League benefit for charity. That’s right– the ‘90s alternative band, for a third year, are participating in the annual charity auction on eBay.
The Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League kicked off its 3rd annual charity auction, here. The auction last ten days and offers a variety of collectibles donated by Alice in Chains, including Jerry Cantrell‘s stage outfit and autographed guitar, Jerry Cantrell’s stage outfit (custom-made, black denim pants, jacket and studded belt worn by Jerry Cantrell during the Alice in Chains “Black Diamond Skye tour”), a glove worn and signed by Randy Wolf and other for-a-good-cause goodies. Proceeds from the auction will go towards league champion William DuVall’s charity pick, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, an organization that offers “recreation and companionship to enhance the development of children who would otherwise be at home without adult supervision,” according to a release. View all the items via eBay.
In other Alice in Chains news, Cantrell recently told Rolling Stone magazine that the band are currently making headway on a new full length, and they are shooting to have it out in 2012. The record would have dropped earlier, but recording was delayed due to Cantrell’s recent surgery. “I had shoulder surgery. I had to get some bone spurs and torn cartilage taken care of, so that put me back a little bit,” he said. “But we’ve been writing through the whole process.”
