‘Metal Hammer’ and Metallica team up for limited edition magazine commemorating 30th anniversary shows
Metallica diehards are already aware that the legendary metal band have been publishing a magazine called “So What!” just for fan club members for the past 19 years. The release is in partnership with “Metal Hammer” magazine.
As the guys explain, they felt the latest issue “So What!” was too special to offer it to just fan club members. “We realized that the upcoming issue was looking so special, so unique and so unprecedented that we really should make it available to share with all our friends around the world,” the band in stated on their official website. “So for the first time ever we are printing a special limited edition newsstand version of the magazine in collaboration with ‘Metal Hammer,’ who has joined us for our new adventure.”
The 128-page, glossy magazine will offer plenty of Metallic goodies, including exclusive photos and fresh interviews with the men of Metallica, as well as chats with Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, Brian Tatler and Sean Harris of Diamond Head and King Diamond. Now, that’s metal! On top of that, a special 7” vinyl single packing live recordings of “So What” and “Through the Never” taped at the 30th anniversary shows will come with every issue.
