Papa Roach release their latest studio album, ‘The Connection,’ on July 24

The hard rock boys of Papa Roach are back with a new single, “Still Swinging,” packed with guts and swagger. The music video for the single is in post-production, and fans who are curious about what to expect from the clip will find details in a new online video that features behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot for “Still Swinging,” which comes off the group’s upcoming full-length, “The Connection.”

In the two-minute video, Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix says that the idea for the video actually came from his 7-year-old son. The clip features footage of the band rocking on a rooftop in Brooklyn, N.Y., and packs plenty of energy. “I kinda gave [director David Brodsky ] a…rundown of what my seven-year-old son had told me about an idea for a music video,” Shaddix said. “We have a video that’s riddled with zombies. I’m really into zombies.” He added that the video captures the spirit of Papa Roach: “We are still swinging. We are still killing it. This video, I think, just captures the spirit of that.”

“Still Swinging” will be added to radio on July 24, and “The Connection” is set to hit stores and online outlets on Oct. 2.

In other Papa Roach news, the band are slated to play the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival alongside Staind, P.O.D., Thousand Foot Krutch and more. That tour sets off on Aug. 17 at Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone in Kansas City, Mo., and runs through Sept. 30 in Albuquerque, N.M. Find a full list of tour dates here.
