Linkin Park Want Fans’ Facebook Photos for ‘Lost in the Echo’ Video
Linkin Park fans may submit their photos for inclusion in the band’s upcoming music video
Linkin Park have always shown lots of love to their fans, and now, the alternative rock band have fashioned something unique for their devoted following in the form of a video. Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and the guys are giving fans the chance to star in the music video for “Lost in the Echo,” the second single off Linkin Park’s current full-length, “Living Things.”
To participate, fans are directed to head to LostInTheEcho.com and give permission to the website to have access to their Facebook pages. The website will then incorporate their personal photos into the band’s upcoming music video. How’s that for modern technology?
So, how do fans’ photos fit into the storyline of “Lost in Echo,” the video? The video’s plot revolves around a young man in a post-apocalyptic existence who gives out a number of photos — direct from fans’ Facebook pages — to a crowd before the photos become dust. Linkin Park recently posted a trailer for the video, which can be viewed via YouTube.
Linkin Park are currently on tour with Incubus, co-headlining Honda Civic Tour. It’s a trek that Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd says is long overdue. “We have a lot of mutual listeners, our bands, and I think that it’s one of those things that once the idea was floated, and we really kind of caught onto it, that it seemed like, ‘Why haven’t we done this yet?’ type of a thing,” Boyd said during a recent press conference.
