Soundgarden Release Album Art, Video Trailer for New Album
Grunge rock band Soundgarden have unveiled the album art for their upcoming full-length, ‘King Animal’
It’s finally here! Chris Cornell and the boys of Soundgarden have posted the album art for their upcoming full-length, “King Animal,” as well as a video trailer features snippets of songs from the release. Check out the album cover to the left.
The video trailer runs just about 85 seconds long and depicts a snow-covered mountain side, while a grungy guitar riff plays in the background. As the video progresses, the snow starts to melt, and each band members’ face appears against the mountain side. The video, which is posted below, wraps up with a frame of the artwork for “King Animal.”
“King Animal” is Soundgarden’s first studio album since their 1996 release, “Down on the Upside,” which arrived the same year the band called it quits. Soundgarden reunited in 2010, and the band have been hard at work on their follow-up to “Upside” ever since.
“King Animal” is set for a Nov. 13 release in North America, and a few of the songs set to appear on the upcoming set include “Blood on the Valley Floor,” “Been Away Too Long,” “Worse Dreams” and “A Thousand Days Before.” Earlier this year, Soundgarden released their first new single since their break-up, “Live to Rise,” a rousing grunge-rock anthem which appeared on the soundtrack for “The Avengers.” While the song shot to the top of the rock charts, Cornell warned fans that the track isn’t necessarily indicative of the upcoming LP.
