The Rolling Stones have unleashed a rollicking new track called ‘Doom and Gloom’

Legendary rockers the Rolling Stones are back with their first new song in seven years, and fans can hear it online right now. The track, “Doom and Gloom,” is a freewheeling blues-rock number featuring Mick Jagger’s raspy vocals and Keith Richards’ rollicking guitar riffs.

The Stones have also posted a lyric video for “Doom and Gloom” online, which can be viewed below. The song was also premiered on British radio Thursday (Oct. 11) morning and is on sale as a digital download at iTunes. The track is one of two new songs that will arrive on the band’s upcoming compilation “GRRR!,” which will arrive in several formats on Nov. 12.

In other Stones news, Richards recently hinted in an interview with Q Magazine that the legendary rockers were in the process of booking some shows in London and New York City in honor of their 50th anniversary. Now, another Stones player has dished on the band’s soon-to-be-announced concert plans.

Speaking with Billboard, Stones saxophone player Bobby Keys stated that the band was “gonna do some more concerts, starting in November with two in England and then a couple here in the States, then there’s a few added concerts after that.”

He also stated that Richards personally told him a few months ago that arrangements were being made for new Stones action and that needed to “be ready to go.”

On a sourer note, Keys also hinted to Billboard that the new concert might mark the end of the Stones’ live legacy: “The reality is this train is going to pull into the last station pretty soon. I don’t know how soon. I’ve been saying this since 1980. But I feel like it’s kind of winding down.  This may be sort of the ‘Sayonara, see you later, had a good time, keep in touch.’”
