Fall Out Boy Push Up Release Date for New Album

Fall Out Boy have moved up the release date for their upcoming album, ‘Save Rock and Roll’

Fall Out Boy know that when things are hot, you have to act fast. As the story goes, the pop-rock band recently release their new single, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” and the song as sold a whopping 161,000 downloads. With that success, the guys have decided to bump up the release date of their upcoming album, “Save Rock and Roll,” from a May 7 release to April 16.

“So when we got this all rolling we didn’t expect it to be so crazy,” bass player Pete Wentz  said in an official statement. “But we weren’t kidding when we said we had the album done — so why wait?  It means the world to us the way you have welcomed us back.”

Switching gears to TV appearances, Fall Out Boy are scheduled to perform “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” on TNT this Saturday night (Feb. 16) in conjunction with the events for the 62nd annual NBA All-Star Game in Houston, Texas.
