Kid Rock is slashing ticket prices for his upcoming tour

Michigan rocker Kid Rock understands the frustration of missing out on a concert because of expensive ticket prices. In fact, he singer and guitarist has announced that he’s kicking off a tour in June, and all of the tickets will be for sale for only $20. He’ll also be offering lower prices for parking and his official merchandise at the shows.

“Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn’t want that to be a reason why everyone couldn’t get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night,” Rock said in an official statement. “So we’re going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent. Someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I’m lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever.”

The tour kicks off on June 28 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va., and is slated to run through Sept. 15 at the Live Nation Amphitheatre in Tampa, Fla. The run will also offer a special, three-night residency at the DTE Energy Music Theater in Kid Rock’s hometown of Detroit, Mich. Opening acts on select dates will include Kool & The Gang, ZZ Top and Uncle Kracker. Tickets for the shows will be available on Friday (April 12).
