The 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will feature appearances from a wide range of musicians
The 28th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set to take place tonight (April 18) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. Per usual, a slew of high-profile musicians have signed-on to take part in the festivities.
When it comes to grunge groups at the ceremony, Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will help induct Seattle rockers Heart into the Hall of Fame, and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell will team up with Heart for a performance. Meanwhile, Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins will induct Canadian prog-rockers Rush into the Rock Hall.
The rest of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees include Public Enemy, Donna Summer, Albert King and Randy Newman. Producers Quincy Jones and Lou Adler will pick up a special lifetime achievement award during the festivities.
Those who want to catch all the action in the comfort of their own homes will be able to watch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony May 18 on HBO. For more on the induction, head to the Rock Hall’s official website.
