The guys of Linkin Park are raising funds for Hurricane Sandy relief with a new contest

The guys of Linkin Park are working with their charity, Music for Relief, to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief in the U.S. and Haiti. While giving to a good cause is enough of a reward, Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and the gang are also giving an extra incentive to fans to donate.

By giving $10 or more to Music for Relief on the Omaze website, one winner and a buddy will have the chance to spend an hour with Linkin Park at their private studio in Los Angeles. Of course, Linkin Park are currently working on their new album, so the winner will be able to witness the group’s writing and creative process firsthand. Airfare and a hotel stay will be included in the prize package. The deadline to donate and enter is May 31.

Linkin Park’s Music for Relief charity has raised nearly $4 million dollars since its kick-off in 2005. In the past, the charity has stepped in to provide aid for relief efforts for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the earthquake in Haiti, Habitat for Humanity and beyond. Thanks to their longstanding charity efforts, Linkin Park have been honored by the United Nations Association of the United States of America with a Global Leadership Award.
