Shinedown tops the 2013 Carnival of Madness lineup

The lineup for the 2013 Carnival of Madness Tour is out, and Shinedown are set to headline this year’s annual run. This is actually the second time Shinedown has headlined the festival, as the group sat at the top of the bill for the show’s inaugural tour in 2010.

“Carnival of Madness is more than a show—it’s an experience,” frontman Brent Smith said in an official statement. “This year, it’s all about reinvention. The culmination of five powerful and dynamic bands joining together to prove to the world that rock-n-roll is alive and well. So, step right up. Come one, come all. The Carnival of Madness has arrived!!!”

Other rockers booked for the main stage of the tour include Papa Roach, Skillet, In This Moment and We as Human.

“We’re so stoked to be on Carnival of Madness this year,” Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix said in a statement. “It’s an absolutely killer bill from top to bottom…fans better be ready to get crazy at these shows.”

Specific tour stops for the Carnival of Madness Tour will be announced on June 3 via the festival’s official website. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public beginning on June 7. For more information, head to the Carnival of Madness website.
